In Person Coaching
In Person Coaching sessions are conducted primarily at two locations in West Berkshire:
- Greenham Common RG19 8BZ or
- Henwick Worthy Sports Grounds RG18 3BN
There is also potential for coaching sessions to be arranged in other suitable locations by mutual agreement. For a one to one session, the venue must be within 15 to 20 minutes drive of Newbury or Thatcham. For group coaching sessions it is possible that I will travel further, but agreement must be reached before the booking can be confirmed. Alternative venues MUST be suitable, safe and easily accessible public spaces. Clients can make suggestions for suitable alternative venues, but the final decision on the suitability of alternative coaching venues will be made by Running Directions alone.
In Person coaching sessions must be booked a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Checking availability and making reservations for suitable coaching timeslots can be made via the Running Directions website. Once a reservation has been made you will receive an invitation and emails confirming the reservation. NB: These communications relate to the fact that a reservation has been made. But they are not confirmation that the coaching session will go ahead. Payment in full is required in order to confirm the booking. This payment is required a minimum of 24 hours before the agreed time/day of the coaching session. This is to ensure that a suitable session plan can be produced beforehand and other key information (e.g. contact details) can be exchanged.
Once payment for in person coaching session has been received, a automatic email confirmation will be issued containing your coaches contact details. You will be expected to read and make note of these contact details and directions regarding coaching sessions in this email before attending your coaching session.
Before you book an in person coaching session you must ensure that you’re in good health and there are no injuries/illnesses that will affect your ability to run/exercise. By booking an In Person coaching session you fully acknowledge that all exercise carries with it the inherent risk of injury and Running Directions will not be liable for injuries sustained during a coaching session.
You must take reasonable care for your own safety during coaching sessions and always listen to the instructions of your coach. You must also take care to keep your personal belongings safe. Running Directions accepts NO responsibility for personal property that is damaged, stolen or lost during a coaching session.
If you cannot make a pre-booked session, email dave[at]runningdirections.com at your earliest convenience to request a rearrangement. 48 hours notice is required for such rearrangement requests to ensure a suitable alternative date can be agreed.
In person coaching sessions cancelled in advance that cannot be rearranged for a suitable future date will be refunded at the following rates:
- More than 48hours notice given 95% refund
- Between 24 and 48hours notice given 75% refund
- Between 2 hours and 24 hours notice 50% refund
- Less than 2 hours notice, no notice and/or no show – no refund
Your coach will wait for you at the agreed venue for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. If you do not arrive within this window, your coach will leave and the session will be cancelled.
In person coaching sessions cancelled by Running Directions that cannot be rearranged will be refunded in full.
Online Coaching
Online Coaching sessions are conducted primarily via online video conferencing and potentially also via an app and email. Video conference sessions must be booked a minimum of 1 week in advance. It is understood that from time to time a booked session may need to be rearranged because of a change in circumstance/priorities. Sessions taken as a part of a regular recurring plan are reasonably flexible so if you cannot make a pre-booked session, email dave[at]runningdirections.com at your earliest convenience to request a rearrangement. A minimum of 48 hours notice is required from online coaching clients for such rearrangement requests. The fees for sessions cancelled without 48 hours notice that cannot be rearranged for a suitable future date will be forfeited.
Payments, Fees and Renewals
If you choose to pay recurring fees for a Running Directions coaching package, whether for regular/recurring In-Person or Online coaching services, you are obligated to pay these fees on a regular basis at the intervals stipulated when you initially purchase these services (normally every 14 days or monthly depending on the package - the period will be clearly stipulated on the checkout page). Coaching fees will be billed automatically to the payment method you used for the initial purchase and will renew automatically until the regular/recurring in-person or online coaching is terminated. You authorise Running Directions to charge your designated payment method for the in-person or online coaching fees. Running Directions reserves the right to increase these coaching fees or to introduce new fee structures or payment intervals at any time upon reasonable notice posted in advance on this website and by email to existing customers. Purchases of regular/recurring in-person or online coaching services are final and non-refundable for any unused portions of your coaching period.
You may re-schedule unused sessions from one billing period to a future date, provided adequate notice is given and a mutually acceptable date/time can be agreed.
Cancellation
You may cancel your Running Directions regular online coaching services at any time by contacting dave[at]runningdirections.com. Cancellation of your online coaching services will go into effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
Refunds
All refunds are at the sole discretion of Running Directions. We encourage you to carefully consider your purchases and ensure you’ve read the sales pages and product descriptions before placing any orders or completing online transactions for our products or services. You can ask questions about any of our producst and services prior to purchase by sending an email to dave[at]runningdirections.com
Ready-Made Training plans & Digital Downloads
Running Directions provide pre-written training plans for various endurance running race distances. These plans will be delivered via digital download in electronic format, no physical products will be shipped. Once received digital downloads cannot be returned. Because you are able to keep all the download materials, it is difficult to justify refunds for purchases of these items and very unusual to offer a guaranteed refund period. However, we understand that it is not possible to please everyone and we would like to remove a potential worry when considering buying one of our ready-made plans. So in the unlikely event that you’re not satisfied with the ready-made training plan you receive, we may at our sole discretion provide a full refund if claimed within 14 days of purchase. To qualify for a refund you will need to send an email to dave[at]runningdirections.com with a detailed explanation about what you don’t like about the ready-made training plan or digital download product. This will help us improve our future ready-made training plan and digital download offerings. It will also hopefully deter anyone attempting to gain a valuable training plan without fair payment. If we consider this to be the case - no refund will be given.
Running Directions ready-made training plans may come with access to a restricted part of the website – containing detailed training plan instructions and additional training materials. Once a refund is issued, access to this part of the website and these materials will be revoked.
Tailored Training Plans
Running Directions tailored training plans are produced based on your specific requirements and the information you provide after ordering and payment. Producing these plans takes time and skill, once the tailored plan has been provided and has been received by the client there will be no refunds. If you are unhappy with the plan you receive, please let me know. I will re-write a plan based on your feedback. I will re-write a tailored plan only once free of charge, any subsequent requested amendments will be at an additional cost to the client and if I disagree with the changes requested I may also refuse to make those amendments.
Online Coaching requires a commitment from both the Running Directions Coach and the athlete/client. There are no refunds, but you can pause and defer your coaching at any time if your circumstances change and re-start again in the future if you wish to. If the fees for this service increase in the interim, you will be required to confirm and pay the new rate before the service can be resumed.
Individual online educational/training courses come with a specific refund period, which is noted on the sales page and checkout for each individual product. To qualify for a refund you will need to demonstrate that you have followed the instructions and acted on the materials provided for at least 14 days. This is to ensure that you at least try our training and give it a reasonable opportunity to gauge it’s effectiveness. If you request a refund within a shorter period and cannot demonstrate that you’ve acted on the information, expect that your request may be declined. Such early requests are considered to be an attempt to gain valuable training materials without fair payment.
