2. Website & Legal Entities
- The Running Directions™ website and its content are owned by David Sollis. By accessing the website, you agree to comply with these T&Cs.
- All content displayed on this website or any other information or materials made available on or through this website, including but not limited to training plans/programmes, educational courses, challenges, downloads, physical products/merchandise, coaching services, opt-in gifts, e-books, pdfs, videos, webinars, blog posts, email-newsletters, general e-mail correspondence, consultations, forums, social media profiles, groups, posts and/or other communication (collectively referred to throughout these T&Cs as “website”).
- The terms "I," "me," “my,” "we," "us," “our” and "coach" refer to Running Directions/David Sollis. The terms "you" and "your" refer to website users, clients, or customers.
- Use of the website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated into these T&Cs.
3. Coaching Services & Client Responsibilities
3.1 In-Person & Online Coaching
- In-person coaching sessions will take place at Greenham Common (unless another suitable alternative location is mutually agreed). It is the client’s responsibility to travel to the coaching location and arrive on time.
- Online Coaching sessions are conducted primarily via online video conferencing and potentially also via an app and email. Video conference sessions must be booked a minimum of 1 week in advance.
3.2 Regular Coaching Subscriptions
- New clients may trial coaching for one month at full price. If they choose not to continue, they must notify Running Directions in writing before the end of the first month to avoid further charges.
- After the first month, coaching fees will be automatically charged monthly. To cancel ongoing coaching, one full month’s notice is required.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where explicitly stated.
3.3 Pausing Coaching
- Clients may pause coaching due to injury or illness, with payments temporarily frozen.
- For non-health-related pauses, clients must provide one month’s notice, and approval is at the coach’s discretion.
- A paused coaching subscription means all coaching services stop, including:
- In-person and/or online coaching sessions
- Online training plan access
- Plan adjustments & modifications
- Direct coaching support via email/messages
- Any requests to resume coaching must be made at least one week in advance.
- If the fees for this service increase in the interim, you will be required to confirm and pay the new rate before the service can be resumed.
3.4 Rolling Over & Gifting Sessions
- Clients may carry forward up to two unused sessions to the following month. These must be used within that month, or they will expire.
- Clients may gift a carried-over session to a friend or family member, subject to:
- At least 7 days’ notice provided to the coach.
- The recipient completing a pre-session questionnaire and agreeing to the coaching T&Cs.
- Coach approval.
- Gifted sessions must be used within the same timeframe and cannot be transferred again.
3.5 Price Increases
As a small coaching business committed to providing high-quality, personalised support, fees may occasionally change to reflect increased costs, experience, or the evolving value of the service.
Running Directions reserves the right to review and adjust coaching fees. Clients will be given a minimum of 30 days’ notice in writing before any increase takes effect. If a client does not wish to continue under the new fee, they may provide notice to cancel their subscription as per clause 3.2.
Existing clients on recurring packages may continue at their current rate until the end of their current billing period. After this, the new pricing will apply unless the client chooses to cancel or switch to a different package.
Paused clients wishing to resume coaching after a price change will be subject to the new rate.
3.6 Appropriate Use of Coaching Services
Coaching services are designed to support clients in their running/fitness-related goals and training. While occasional discussion of relevant lifestyle, wellbeing, or mindset topics may be appropriate, coaching support (whether in-person, by email, or via messaging) is not intended to replace therapy, counselling, or crisis support.
Excessive messaging, off-topic communication, or use of coaching contact methods for emotional support unrelated to running goals may lead to a review of the coaching arrangement.
In such cases, the coach reserves the right to suggest alternative sources of support and/or terminate the coaching relationship in accordance with Clause 5.3, with a pro-rated refund for any remaining sessions or unused coaching period, minus reasonable admin or processing fees.
4. Availability & Holidays
4.1 Coach’s Availability & Holidays
- Running Directions is entitled to a minimum of four weeks’ holiday per year, taken as separate weeks or consecutive weeks at the coach’s discretion. During this time it is understood that the coach may not be contactable.
- Clients will receive at least one week’s notice of any planned holiday periods.
- Where possible, clients may reschedule sessions before or after a holiday. If they cannot, unused sessions will expire and cannot be carried forward indefinitely.
- During longer holidays (e.g., three weeks), Running Directions may provide essential training plan tweaks and limited email support, but regular coaching sessions and full training plan reviews will be paused.
4.2 Client Holidays & Notice Requirement
- Clients must provide as much notice as possible and ideally at least one month’s notice of any planned holidays so their training plans and sessions can be adjusted accordingly.
- If a client does not provide adequate notice and misses sessions, they will expire and cannot be carried forward.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
5.1 Cancellation Policy
- Clients must provide at least one month’s written notice via email to cancel a recurring coaching subscription.
- In-person and online coaching session cancellations:
- A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required to cancel and reschedule any booked session.
- If less than 24 hours’ notice is given the booked session will be forfeited and may not be rescheduled.
5.2 Refund Policy
- Digital products, such as ready-made training plans, are non-refundable once accessed.
- Tailored training plans are non-refundable, but if dissatisfied, clients may request one free rewrite for specific amendments. The coach may refuse to make amendments that are counter to his training philosophy/principles.
- Online coaching plans are final and non-refundable but can be paused or deferred as per Section 3.3.
- Individual online educational/training courses come with a specific refund period, which is noted on the sales page and checkout for each individual product. To qualify for a refund you will need to demonstrate that you have followed the instructions and acted on the materials provided for at least 14 days. This is to ensure that you at least try our training and give it a reasonable opportunity to gauge it’s effectiveness. If you request a refund within a shorter period and cannot demonstrate that you’ve acted on the information, expect that your request may be declined. Such early requests are considered to be an attempt to gain valuable training materials without fair payment.
- All refunds are at the sole discretion of Running Directions. We encourage you to carefully consider your purchases and ensure you’ve read the sales pages and product descriptions before placing any orders or completing online transactions for our products or services. You can ask questions about any of our producst and services prior to purchase by sending an email to dave[at]runningdirections.com
5.3 Termination by Coach
Running Directions reserves the right to terminate a coaching agreement at any time in the following circumstances:
- The client behaves in a way that is abusive, inappropriate, or consistently disrespectful.
- The coach believes the professional relationship is no longer productive or beneficial for either party.
- The client repeatedly breaches boundaries, cancels sessions at short notice, or fails to engage with the coaching process.
Where possible, one month’s notice will be provided. Any unused sessions or pre-paid fees will be refunded on a pro-rata basis, minus reasonable administrative and payment processor charges.
